LeBron James and Dillon Brooks have formed an interesting rivalry over the last three years. They have locked horns and engaged in multiple heated exchanges as recently as this season.

With James calling time on his Los Angeles Lakers stint after eight years, his future has been the subject of much debate once again. He has been linked to several clubs, but one club that has not been mentioned at all in the last two weeks is the Phoenix Suns, led by Brooks himself.

Everyone in the NBA community is eagerly waiting to see where James decides to play next. Among them is Brooks. At the NBA 2K League, which is a gaming tournament, Brooks urged James to return to the league for one more season and predicted where he will play next.

This is me saying, LeBron come back for one more year…Stop all this waiting sh*t. I think Golden State (on where he will play next).

It is remarkable to see so many clubs with championship goals looking to sign James at this point of his career. After his agent, Rich Paul, revealed that the 2026-27 campaign may not be his final one, there is no reason for teams to hold back in trying to sign him, especially since money is no longer a priority for him.

While clubs remain in the hunt for the four-time champion, Dillon Brooks believes that he will end up joining forces with Stephen Curry in Golden State. The Warriors surprised everyone when they expressed interest in trying to sign James.

James has been heavily linked to a return to the Cleveland Cavaliers or the Miami Heat, but it is possible he was swayed towards the Dubs after spending time with Draymond Green last week. The Warriors star confirmed that he did throw a pitch at James. If the move does happen, some believe that the Warriors will be title contenders next season.

Brooks has never shied away from standing up to James. They have had a few exchanges on the court last season. Brooks has often taken subtle shots at James off the court as well.

During the stream, the host asked him if he was the biggest James hater. Brooks had a quick response:

Oh, I’m top, I’m top, for sure.

A couple of months ago, Brooks said that he has no animosity towards James. However, it looks like he has changed his feelings this time, or he was just being sarcastic.

It is surprising to hear Brooks predict that James will join the Warriors, even though three other clubs are ahead in the race at the moment. There is no love lost between Brooks and the Warriors either. If James does join the Warriors, it will be interesting to see how Brooks deals with them.

The Warriors make more sense than everybody for LeBron James

LeBron James and Stephen Curry playing together would be must-see TV. The hype surrounding the Dubs both on and off the court would be off the charts. The two longtime rivals joining forces at the end of their careers would bring in a lot of excitement in the NBA world.

Former NFL star Shannon Sharpe believes the Warriors would be the best fit for James heading forward.

Because what when LeBron James won championships, what was he surrounded by? Shooters. Battier, Rio, Mike Miller, Kyle Korver, JR. Smith, Danny Green, Caldwell-Pope. Guys that can knock down open shots. Who can knock down better open shots than one Stephen Wardell? Excuse me. Wardell Stephen Curry.

There is no doubt that Curry is the greatest shooter to ever play the game. With a player like Curry by his side, James would fit in very well in the Warriors’ system and can even compete for a championship. But it remains to be seen where the 41-year-old takes his talents this summer.
