One of the wildest moments from last Sunday’s race at Darlington was Spire Motorsports’ Carson Hocevar wrecking RFK Racing owner driver Brad Keselowski and acting nonchalant when pressed about it by the media. He was slammed by majority of the racing community owing to the disrespect shown towards the 2012 Cup champion.
Ex-champion Kevin Harvick talked about the drama, in the latest episode of his Happy Hour podcast. He warned Hocevar about the old-school Keselowski, who was one of the most unapologetically aggressive racers in the past. The Spire youngster needs to be concerned about the retaliation warning given by the RFK Racing driver.
Well, when you think back to old-school Brad, just go and Google Brad Keselowski vs. Carl Edwards, and you will see an old-school Brad Keselowski. And look, we talk about Hocevar on here a lot.
Kevin Harvick said on his podcast.
Furthermore, Kevin Harvick highlighted how Carson Hocevar is making the news for all the wrong reasons and his nonchalant act post-race really get under the skin of his rivals. Many in the garage would be frustrated about the No:77 Chevy driver over the disrespect shown towards the No:6 Ford driver and how they can be the next victim.
And everybody’s talking about Hocevar a lot. And unfortunately it’s more for reasons like this, where he gets into somebody, spins them out. And then the story usually ends up as it did after the race, where it was just kind of this nonchalant blow-it-off, don’t really care type moment. That’s really what frustrates the competitors.
Kevin Harvick added via Happy Hour podcast.
The former champion asserted that the Spire youngster has now put himself in a difficult situation with the aggressive racing. He asserted that there will be a full circle moment in the cup for the racer, as Keselowski or some other driver will end up wrecking him.
I can tell you from a competitor standpoint, I pissed everybody off in the garage. So, you know, it’s a difficult position to be in from a Cup Series standpoint, because it will come full circle. And when you have somebody like Brad, who is at a point where he doesn’t care anymore, you’re going to wind up wrecked. And that’s just the way that this goes.
Kevin Harvick asserted.
Kevin Harvick sees it as a potential learning moment for Carson Hocevar
Later in the same conversation, the 2014 Cup champion highlighted how this might end up being a learning moment for Carson Hocevar. He should have admitted he made a mistake on the post-race media session, and not put himself in a such a situation.

That’s how you learn. You can still do all the same cool, fun, great things that Carson does. But in those moments where you just mess up, like he just messed up right there, right? Like he, he just, he misjudged, and it could have been a really easy incident to put yourself in a position to not have to worry about Brad. But now Brad’s just another one on the list and looking to settle the score.
Kevin Harvick said.
The comments from the former driver are on point and a potential retaliation from the RFK racer or someone else would help him understand he needs to be careful with his words. It would be interesting to see how everything is going to playout for Hocevar in the coming days.
