Titans HC Calls CJ Stroud’s Texans the “Greatest” 0-4 Team in NFL History
Robert Saleh believes AFC South rivals, the Houston Texans, are the best team to not win a game this season.

Robert Saleh isn’t taking the winless Houston Texans lightly. The Tennessee Titans head coach believes their AFC South rivals are the best 0-4 team remaining in the league.
On Sunday, October 11, the Titans will host the Texans at Nissan Stadium. Both teams are winless after four games. The Texans kicked off their losing streak in Buffalo against the Bills, then to the Cincinnati Bengals and the Indianapolis Colts.
Last Sunday, the Texans hosted the Dallas Cowboys at NRG Stadium. Dallas clinched their second victory of the campaign.
As for the Titans, they are 0-4 in 2026. But their losing streak began before Saleh took charge in the offseason. Tennessee hasn’t won a game since defeating the Kansas City Chiefs in December 2025.
Saleh is wary of the Texans’ defense. The Texans’ defense has consistently ranked in the top 5 since Ryans took over. However, that same defense finds itself in the bottom half. That being said, the head coach remains cautious about the Houston franchise.
Might be the greatest 0-4 team in the history of football. Their defense is, obviously, one of the top-five units in all of football. They’ve lost four games to four really, really good football teams… They’ve been in a lot of really, really tight games. I think they’ve all come down to the last second, with the exception of maybe Cincinnati.

The Texans went 12-5 and reached the playoffs last season. In the wildcard, they defeated Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers before losing to the New England Patriots in the Divisional game.
Saleh will go up against his old colleague DeMeco Ryans, head coach of the Texans. Ryans served as the defensive quality control coach with the San Francisco 49ers while Saleh was the defensive coordinator.
Ryans took over as DC after Saleh left to coach the New York Jets in 2021. Two years later, the Texans appointed Ryans. The Texans’ head coach is looking forward to facing Saleh. The 42-year-old will also call plays on defense.
Titans quarterback echoes his head coach’s concerns about the Texans
Titans drafted former Miami star Cam Ward with the first overall pick in 2025 to address quarterback issues. Ward won three games in his rookie season. He completed 323 passes for 3169 yards, 15 touchdowns, and 7 interceptions.

Ward has started in all four games that the Titans have lost this season. He has thrown 75 completions for 726 yards, 3 touchdowns, and 2 interceptions.
Ward took 55 sacks (most) during his debut campaign and lost 410 yards. He also fumbled 11 times and lost possession 7 times. In four games this year, Ward has already been sacked 6 times and fumbled once.
Ward believes the bar is set higher in divisional games. Players from both sides give it their all to secure bragging rights.
It’s going to be an exciting game. They’re one of the best 0-4 teams out there in the NFL, and they’re going to have their hands full when they come [to] play us as well.

The Texans did the double over the Titans last year. Ward played in both fixtures, recording a passer rating of 65.7 with 302 yards, 1 touchdown, and 1 interception. Ryans is 6-1 against the Titans. The only defeat came in Week 12 of 2024.
Back then, Texans quarterback CJ Stroud threw for 247 yards, 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. Will Levis—no longer with the Titans—completed 18 passes for 278 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 1 interception. Tennessee won 32-27.
