Roman Reigns is set to defend his Universal Championship against the Beast Incarnate Brock Lesnar at WWE Day 1. The Tribal Chief will be in the danger of losing his championship which would also end his historic title reign and keep Lesnar’s record of holding the title for 503 days.

This all started when Roman Reigns successfully defeated franchise player John Cena in a Universal Championship match at Summerslam 2021. Before Reigns could celebrate his victory, the Beast Incarnate returned and shocked the world. The return changed the landscape of WWE and most importantly, the landscape of the Universal Championship picture.
The Beast challenged Reigns for the championship at Crown Jewel 2021 but was unsuccessful after the Usos helped the champion retain his title This was followed by Lesnar being suspended and then returning to challenge Reigns at WWE Day 1. But one thing which would be missing from Roman Reigns’ corner this time would be the guidance and company of Paul Heyman.

Multiple reports and rumors have given a lot of hints about the Universal Championship match at WWE Day 1. Reports claim that the match at Day 1 will be having a huge finish which would lead to the feud continuing to WrestleMania. This was followed by some other reports that say Drew McIntyre is advertised to battle Roman reign s in January. This has brought in a potential spoiler which claims that Reigns could be retaining the Universal Championship at WWE Day 1.
If Reigns wins, then the champion will be breaking Brock Lesnar’s record of holding the Universal Championship for 503 days. This will also make the reign one of the best championship reigns of all time and will be followed by another main event at WrestleMania 38.
