“These are the fans we don’t want in F1” – Fans enraged over hate comments spewed on Ted Kravitz after Max Verstappen’s boycott

Ted Kravitz has faced a lot of hate after Red Bull's boycott
Ted Kravitz is a British Formula 1 reporter for Sky Sports F1. He has worked in this field for over two decades, gaining a reputation for being a credible F1 expert. He has also acquired respect all around the Formula 1 paddock. He also runs a short segment show called “Ted’s Notebook” providing the viewers with all the technical information needed for the weekend, catering to the geeky side of the fans.
Recently, however, there sparked controversy after Max Verstappen initiated a boycott of Sky Sports F1, the Dutchman hit out at the network and Kravitz saying, “Nothing to do with this weekend, but this year it’s been a constant digging, being disrespectful, especially one particular person and at one point it’s enough and I just don’t accept it.” This occurred after Kravitz’s dig at the two-time world champion over Ted’s reference to Max never winning a title in the ‘normal way.’
This led to a total boycott of Sky Sports by the Red Bull team as both Verstappen and his teammate, Sergio Perez declined to give interviews to the channel. A certain number of fans took to social media after this incident, spreading hatred towards the British reporter by abusive comments as they saw fit. This is definitely something which cannot be tolerated.
“He doesn’t deserve this,” Fans defend Ted Kravitz, as he faces death threats online

After this incident was posted on Reddit, F1 fans came in defense of Kravitz, while calling out the wrongdoers. Most, if not all fans agreed on prohibiting such threats and abuse no matter what a person has said. One user said, “These are the ‘fans’ we don’t want in F1” referring to the lack of a need to have such people follow the sport. One of the users defending Kravitz said, “he doesn’t deserve this.” Fans also called such behavior “disgusting” and “absolutely unacceptable.” Thus the opinion is very clear, no matter what a person says, giving them death threats is unacceptable. No one should condone such behavior.
