A mother is the biggest grace one could have in his/her life. And surely there isn’t a harder pain to let her pass away. This night, Dustin Rhodes felt that unbearable agony. In a public statement on Twitter, Dustin announced the passing away of her mother, Sandra Runnels.

As any son would feel after his mother’s expiration, the current AEW superstar became emotional. He tried to list down all the stuff his mother had done for him. Also, Rhodes mentioned how he wouldn’t be able to become a man he’s today, except his mother.

Sandra was the first wife of ‘The American Dream’ Dusty Rhodes. They divorced after 10 years of marriage. Despite of the family shenanigans, the Rhodes were and still remain as one of the most prestigious wrestling families in this business.

Whether you believe it or not, Dustin Rhodes is a true legend of this industry. Starting his wrestling journey in 1995, he still continues to trail the blaze inside the squared circle. Before joining All Elite Wrestling, the 53-year-old competed in WWE, which was the promotion that rose him to prominence.

For the better part of his WWE career, Rhodes portrayed Goldust. He also became a World Tag-Team Champion with his half-brother Cody Rhodes. Before his release, Goldy was paired alongside R-Truth where they acclaimed themselves as the Golden Truth.

However, every good thing comes to a close and for Dustin, that time is up this year. After having a memorable career that lasted for 35 years, ‘The Natural’ has finally made a decision. On last month’s Blizzard Brawl event, Dusty’s elder son revealed that 2023 will be his last year as a wrestler.
