After BRUTALLY berating Kyrie Irving for vaccine stance, Stephen A. Smith bizarrely defends Aaron Rodgers
Stephen A. Smith went on a brutal run of attacks on Kyrie Irving for having an Anti-Vax stand.
Stephen A. Smith bizarrely defends Aaron Rodgers for questioning COVID vaccines, when he berated Kyrie Irving for making a stand back then
Stephen A. Smith has had a tumultuous history with athletes and the COVID vaccine. At one point in time, he berated Kyrie Irving to the extent that the superstar was seen as the villain of the NBA at that point.
Smith called Irving out for being selfish and putting aside the needs of the team. But when the same points were made by Aaron Rodgers, the ESPN analyst bizarrely defended the NFL champion. On his own show, The Stephen A. Smith Show, the 56-year-old analyst discussed the comments Rodgers made on a recent podcast.
Whether right or whether wrong, no one can say anything definitively. I took the vaccine. Hell, I encouraged others to do it. Others that disagreed with me, however, I can't knock them. They had the reasons for having their feelings. Aaron Rodgers is entitled to that. Aaron Rodgers is not stupid, he's not senseless, he's not the insensitive dude that people have excoriated him as being. And at least some of what he says, gets attached with enough legitimacy to it, that it will make you at least say, 'it's something we need to discuss'. Just because we dislike things sometimes, don't mean we get to dismiss it, as completely false.Stephen A. Smith said
Stephen A. Smith suggested that Aaron Rodgers might be right to question the logic of using COVID-19 vaccines. One should at least question the obvious even if they do not like the topic or the person.
He suggested that as more and more people are talking about the vaccine and its actual usefulness, one should raise the question. It is yet to be determined that the vaccine had a positive impact in preventing COVID.
The longtime ESPN analyst has taken a bizarre stand to defend Aaron Rodgers questioning the COVID-19 vaccines. It seems confusing, as Smith had once gone on a barrage of attacks against Kyrie Irving for questioning the same.
Stephen A. Smith brutally went after Kyrie Irving for his anti-vax stance
Back during the COVID-19 days, Kyrie Irving had a clear stand. He was not going to be vaccinated under any circumstance. The aftermath of it was that when the New York mandate was in effect, it denied Irving the ability to play home games for the Brooklyn Nets. Stephen A. Smith suggested that it was a selfish move on Irving’s part.
He then continued the beef when Irving opted into his contract, suggesting that Irving should be available to justify his contract. Then from a few back-and-forth exchanges on social media, it was evident that the ESPN analyst was not going to let up in trying to berate the NBA champion. This beef continued even as Irving requested a trade.
So, it begs the question of why would Stephen A. Smith defend Aaron Rodgers. When he berated Kyrie Irving for making the same stand back then.
