We are all aware of the highs and lows of emotions we experience watching sports. The same happens to the one performing in front of thousands of people. Nick Kyrgios is a popular tennis star infamous for his recurring display of rage on the court.  Recently boxer Anthony Joshua has come forward to defend Kyrgios.

Joshua explained to Give Me Sport the mental side of performing at the top level of competition. He explained the actions of players like Kyrgios, and how all of that happens in the heat of the match. He said people need to experience it to understand why some sportsmen act that way.

Speaking to Give Me Sport he added, “I don’t think people underestimate it, what I’ve come to figure in life is if you’ve never experienced it, you can’t understand it…I’m not a big tennis fan but I watched him(Kyrgios)at Wimbledon…but I thought ‘rah, this guy’s a bit crazy…Now I can understand it because I’ve experienced it, that anger and emotion of losing.”

Anthony Joshua has changed his perspective on the tennis star following his back-to-back loss to Oleksandr Usyk.  Joshua is most probably going to return to the ring next year. Although his opponent has not been confirmed there has been growing speculation of him facing Deontay Wilder.

Years after they were originally scheduled to fight, Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder are getting closer to a major heavyweight confrontation. Recently Anthony Joshua’s manager has disclosed some more information on the potential fight.

Eddie Hearn, Anthony’s promoter, recently spoke to IFL TV. Eddie revealed that he has made contact with Wilder’s promoter and they are trying to make the match a reality. He said, “The communication lines are good between me and [Wilder’s manager] Shelly Finkel. We’ve had a lot of talks, a lot of chats…So again, we’ve got three or four guys that we’re talking to and ready to try and make a move for…He’s (wilder)been ordered to fight Andy Ruiz. He’s in negotiations with various people to fight Andy Ruiz.”

The two heavyweights were supposed to clash before when both fighters held all of the heavyweight titles among them, with the Briton holding the WBA, WBO, and IBF straps and Wilder the long-reigning WBC champion. However, they were never able to come to terms, and that fight was abandoned. Eventually, Wilder was defeated twice by Tyson Fury and Joshua lost his titles to Andy Ruiz Jr. and Oleksandr Usyk.
