Eddie Hearn is positive about Anthony Joshua attracting a huge crowd in his return to boxing in the upcoming months. Anthony Joshua recently lost his opportunity to take his revenge against Oleksandr Usyk and then lost the rematch via split decision. Last year, Usyk shocked the world by defeating AJ and taking all of his belts. Since then, the Brit was waiting to take back what he lost; however, he fell short on the fight night.

Right after the fight, AJ was highly disappointed with the results and allowed his emotions to take over. The boxer took the mic and went on a rant which seemed a little unprofessional and disrespectful towards Usyk. However, after his emotions were settled, AJ made a tweet in order to clarify himself.

“I’ll be the first to admit, I let my self down. I acted out of pure passion and emotion and when not controlled it ain’t great.I love this sport so so much and I’ll be better from this point on. Respect”, wrote AJ.

After the fight, fight fans were a little skeptical about AJ’s mental health and his professional career. Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn was one of the first to speak about the matter.

Eddie Hearn recently did an interview with iFL TV where the boxing promoter talked about Anthony Joshua.

During the conversation, Hearn revealed that Joshua is doing fine after the loss to Usyk. The fighter is recovering fast and will be back inside the ring soon. According to Hearn, AJ is going to fight a boxer in the top 15 ranks and Dillian Whyte is the main choice for that. Hearn mentioned that the AJ vs Whyte fight is not going to take place in December and will most probably happen in early 2023.

He’s gonna fight a top 15 guy,you know. The fight that I want, the fight that he wants, is Dillian Whyte and that’s the biggest fight. It’s not gonna happen in December, but it’s a massive stadium fight next year. The first one was epic, the second one will be even better,” said Hearn.

While talking about other options, Hearn also revealed that AJ wants to fight Deontay Wilder and the fight has a huge potential. He said :

Deontay Wilder…it’s one of the biggest fights in boxing. It’s realistic because someone’s gonna pay a lot of money for that fight.”

Despite AJ’s recent performances, he is still one of the biggest draws in the world of heavyweight boxing. Fans will definitely pay their money to see him fight in future regardless of his opponent. However, his pairing with big names will always be a great event.
