It’s quite clear that Tyson Fury is an intimidating individual and most people would fear the guy charging at them. It wasn’t any different for Jake Paul who during his fight promotion got a surprise visit from Fury. When Fury went to greet Paul he initially pretended to hit him which scared Paul immediately.

The clip of Paul flinching against Fury went viral and became an internet meme for the fans to share and enjoy. In a recent interview with Michelle Phelps, Paul was asked about the incident to which the undefeated fighter reacted honestly. Paul mentioned that he was legitimately scared of Fury moving close to him with his hands out like that. Paul revealed that it’s ok to get scared instead of getting hit by a heavyweight boxer like Fury.

He said: “That’s a scary man. I’m not even gonna lie I know I’m tough but. He was like six feet away and went to shake my hand and his arms are so long that all of sudden his first was in my face and I jumped. I would rather flinch than get punched in the face.”

It’s quite understandable why Paul reacted the way he did because Fury is a big guy and could easily knock out anyone. It’s natural for someone like Paul to get scared in this scenario.

Jake Paul is a true entertainer and knows well how to get the crowd going. In the last few of his fights, in order to create more buzz the boxer had indulged in placing bets on the results of the fight.

In his past fights against Tyron Woodley and Anderson Silva there were bets about getting tattooed and this time also Paul has tried to continue the trend. During the press conference of the Paul vs Fury fight, the 26-year-old made a bet with Fury. Paul offered Fury double his fight purse if he wins and in return will have to go home without any money if he loses.

When Paul made that bet, Fury’s dad John immediately jumped in and accepted the bet. However, Paul later on Twitter posted a video where he told the fans that  Fury’s team still hasn’t responded after verbally agreeing to the bet.

Tommy agreed to it, shook my hand on stage. His dad said that they would agree to it so I signed the contract right in front of them. Sent it over to their lawyers, and just as I thought, they have gone silent as a mouse for the last 24 hours,” said Paul.

It seems like the Fury team is still not sure whether they should accept the bet or not. This surely must have helped Paul to get a confidence boost going into the big fight this weekend.
