The heavyweight title unification bout between Oleksander Usyk and Tyson Fury is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated boxing events of this year. Both the fighters have been in conversation about fighting each other for a long time now and it’s finally happening in the upcoming months.

Ahead of the fight, surprisingly it is Oleksander Usyk who has started getting into verbal warfare this time. The Ukrainian has taken to Twitter in order to share pictures and call Fury ‘Belly’. The fighter called out Fury in his captions and asked him to come and fight.

He wrote: “Where are you?@Tyson_Fury”

Usyk made this comment in return for the remarks Fury made a few days earlier. During an interview with Telegraph, the champion called Usyk small and belonged to the Middleweight division.

I don’t think he’s big enough and strong enough to stand up to the punches, and he’s a natural lighter man. When we were both younger, as amateurs, Usyk was a middleweight at the same time I was super heavyweight and weighed 110 kilos,” said Fury. It seems like that comment has made Usyk more excited about fighting and showing Fury what he’s capable of doing inside the ring.

It was surprising because normally, it’s Fury who likes to take a jibe at his opponents online to get into their heads. The ‘Gypsy King‘ has done it again and again in the past and most of his antics have worked successfully too. However, it seems like Usyk wants to take the charge of this rivalry and it’s amazing for the fight fans.

Usyk in his last fight against Anthony Joshua was impressive and stopped the Brit from doing anything throughout the fight. After that fight, Fury came out of retirement and called out Usyk for the title fight. However, Usyk chose the smarter way and avoided it in order to take his time and recover from the AJ fight.

Fury didn’t like that at all and continuously mocked Usyk for running away from the opportunity. Nevertheless, this time nobody is going to back out as the pieces are finally falling in place and the fight will definitely take place in the first half of 2023.
