Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder is surely here. What a wild week it has been for boxing. From Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury signed to an arbitrator ruling that Fury must fight Wilder, it has been a wild week. And now, Fury has claimed that he has signed the contract to fight Wilder and has vowed to beat him up even more badly this time.
In an interview with Top Rank ESPN, Fury sent a massive warning to his rival Wilder. He predicted a first-round knockout this time. Fury also didn’t seem bothered about fighting Wilder, he claimed that Joshua or Wilder, was ready for anything.
‘One round, you’re going‘ – Tyson Fury
Fury was quoted as saying, “Wilder, this contract is signed. You’re getting smashed. When I say smashed, I mean smash, smash, smash, bang. You’re getting knocked out. End of. One round, you’re going. I’ve got your soul, your mojo, everything.”
Wilder was beaten up and knocked out badly for the first time in his career when he took on Fury on the 22nd of February last year. The Gypsy King knocked him out umpteen times, before Wilder’s corner threw in the towel.
Anthony Joshua ordered to fight Oleksandr Usyk!
Elsewhere, Tyson Fury’s original opponent Anthony Joshua has been ordered to fight WBO Mandatory Challenger, Oleksandr Usyk, by the WBO. The parties of both the fighters have been asked to strike a deal before the 31st of May, or else the fight will be going ahead with purse bids.
Eddie Hearn, Joshua’s promoter, stated recently that he would be coming up with a plan on the 24th of May. Joshua is coming off a victory over Kubrat Pulev, whereas Usyk is coming off a unanimous decision victory against Derek Chisora, which also happened to be his heavyweight debut.
