It seems like boxing fans will not get to witness Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury anytime soon, as Tyson Fury vs Deontay Wilder 3 has been verbally agreed for the 24th of July. What started as an arbitration just a day after AJ vs Fury was agreed has ended up paving a way for the trilogy fight to take place.

According to a report from ESPN’s Ben Baby, the heavyweights have agreed to terms for a third fight. Multiple sources have confirmed to the reporter. The news was later confirmed by ESPN MMA, claiming that the date was set to be July 24, with the location in Las Vegas. The stadium is yet to be finalized.

Both Fury and Wilder haven’t fought since that night at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in February 2020. Wilder was stopped for the first time in his career, after his corner decided to throw in the towel since he was getting battered by the ‘Gypsy King’.

Wilder gave a ton of excuses in the aftermath, claiming that his water was spiked, the towel was thrown in early, Fury’s gloves were loaded and many more. He also fired his long-standing trainer Mark Breland, after a nasty verbal spat.

Fury hasn’t written off a fight with Anthony Joshua, even as Joshua was seen fuming on Twitter. AJ even called Fury a bald man and that he would slap him in the ring.
