“What is the rule?” DC owner Parth Jindal expresses dismay over controversial no-ball during match against PBKS
DC owner Parth Jindal retweeted Bhogle's tweet and stated that he himself doesn't understand properly on what basis the no-balls are given by citing Shafali Verma's dismissal.

There have been several instances in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) where a call by the on and off-field umpires sparked controversy regarding no-balls. During yesterday’s game between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Punjab Kings (PBKS), the latter’s batter Liam Livingstone smashed a full-toss delivery for a six off Ishant Sharma in the last over. However, that delivery was deemed a no-ball by the on-field umpire.
DC captain David Warner instantly went upstairs to review the decision but the third umpire decided to stay with the on-field umpire’s stance. Livingstone had crouched a little and as per the ball-tracking, the ball would’ve missed the stump by a hair’s breadth. The netizens were unhappy with this decision and they slammed both the umpires.
Renowned cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle took to Twitter and pointed out the lack of consistency regarding the waist-high no-ball decisions. He wrote: “On the waist-high no-ball judgment by the 3rd umpire, it is critical that there is consistency going ahead.”
DC owner Parth Jindal retweeted Bhogle’s tweet and stated that he himself doesn’t understand properly on what basis the no-balls are given by citing Shafali Verma‘s dismissal via a controversial no-ball during the Women’s Premier League (WPL). “I for one seriously cannot understand the rule- the ball in the WPL final that got Shafali Verma out was clearly a no-ball if the same rules apply that applied tonight. What is the rule? @IPL.”

Shafali Verma fell to a controversial no-ball during WPL final against MI
During the final of the WPL between Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians, the former batted first, and a high full-toss delivery by Isabelle Wong on the third ball of the second over dismissed Shafali Verma. The DC opener immediately reviewed it.
The ball-tracking showed it was on the waist and seemingly lowering at the end but the umpire decided to benefit the bowler to the disappointment of Verma and DC skipper and non-striker Meg Lanning. That match was eventually won by MI by seven wickets after they chased down a small 132-run target.
