The new Team India jersey, manufactured by the German sports brand Adidas was made available on the Adidas website as well as the Adidas stores on June 4. The sporting brand and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced their collaboration earlier this month. This created a lot of buzz among the fans on social media platforms and they eagerly waited to see the players sport the new jersey.
Adidas will design and manufacture India’s men, women, as well as for U-19 teams. The clothing brand made the jersey with recycled polyester and also with its’ HEAR.RDY technology. The jerseys will have Adidas’s trademark blue stripes.
Team India will play with the new Adidas jersey when they will square off against Australia in the World Test Championship (WTC) Final which is scheduled to start on June 7 at The Oval, London.
The Men in Blue will be playing the T20I series against West Indies in July and that’s when the T20I jersey is expected to be worn by the players for the first time while playing international matches. Both ODI and T20I blue-colored jerseys will have Adidas stripes in orange and white on either side of the arms. Meanwhile, the price of a jersey is Rs 4999 while a replica jersey will be available for Rs 2999. A fan jersey costs Rs 999.
All the jerseys and training kits are made available on the Adidas website and in stores. Go to the Adidas website, click on the “Cricket” option, and under the “Team India” section, go to the “Jerseys” option.
Select the color and size of the jersey, go to the “Add to Cart” option, then pay for it and your jersey will be shipped to you within 7-10 days.
