Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Cooper DeJean is being linked to Dallas Cowboys cheerleader Abby Summers after the rumored couple made an appearance at the Kentucky Derby over the weekend. DeJean was previously in an on and off relationship with WWE Diva Nikki Bella.
DeJean, and Summer uploaded a video on TikTok before walking on the red carpet at the annual horse race event at Churchill Downs, Louisville, Kentucky.

The New York Post reported that DeJean and Summers were first seen together during an NCAA basketball game between the University of Iowa and the University of Illinois. Philly and football fans in general already know that DeJean attended Iowa and starred for the Hawkeyes’ defense for three years.
NFL teams follow a strict policy when it comes to dating between players and cheerleaders. But players are free to date cheerleaders from other teams and vice versa. For example, the Cincinnati Bengals kicker Cade York is married to the Cowboys cheerleader Zoe Dale.
Of course, there’s an exception to every rule. Three-time Super Bowl winner Rob Gronkowski met his partner Camille Kostek a few years into his New England Patriots career. Kostek had just joined the Patriots cheerleading team and wanted to keep her relationship secret. They are still together.
Before Summers, Cooper was rumored to be in a relationship with 42-year-old Nikki Bella. It caused a buzz when Bella showed up at the Eagles’ spring practice session. She took pictures in front of DeJean’s locker following a game between the Eagles and the Las Vegas Raiders. The rumors died down after DeJean was seen leaving a Super Bowl party with a mystery girl.
Cooper DeJean is partnering with Optimum Nutrition
During his college days with the Hawkeyes, DeJean registered 120 combined tackles, 7 interceptions, defended 13 passes, and scored 3 touchdowns. The Eagles drafted him 40th overall in 2024. In his rookie season, the Eagles won a Super Bowl, and he was named to the All-Rookie team.

His numbers got even better in 2025. In 16 games, DeJean recorded 93 combined tackles, 4 TFLs, defended 16 passes, caught 2 interceptions, and had a forced fumble. In two years with the NFC East franchise, DeJean has 144 tackles, 0.5 sacks, 7 tackles for loss, 22 passes defended, 2 INTs, 2 forced fumbles, and 3 forced returns.
One of the things that has helped DeJean is using Optimum Nutrition products. He entered into a partnership with the brand back in February and uses multiple products, including the Gold Standard Whey Protein Powder along with their 40g protein shake.
I think, just with my lifestyle and what I do, having a reliable brand to work with and to use… the Optimum Nutrition Protein Shake, the Gold Standard Whey protein powder, just to keep my body fueled and ready to go throughout the off-season.

DeJean recently led a generous endorsement for his former Iowa teammate Xavier Nwankpa. After going undrafted in the 2026 draft, Nwankpa was picked up by the Kansas City Chiefs.
Got a steal… My brother [is] gonna ball.
