It has been a while since the spectacular end to the VCT 2023 season. Fans will always remember the Valorant Champions 2023 grand final as a match that definitely left a lasting impression! Underdogs dominated this VCT season as numerous inexperienced teams fiercely competed for the title of Champions. However, this season wasn’t all that great for every team out there. 100 Thieves’s VCT 2023 run wasn’t great, and now the team’s IGL Steller and member Derrek are parting ways from the Org.

Teams like Evil Geniuses, who had been performing underwhelmingly since the last two VCTs, went ahead and won the Championship! Furthermore, there were many players like ZmjjKK, Demon1, and others who won everyone’s hearts. However, teams like Sentinels and 100 Thieves, which fans had bet all their money on, couldn’t even make it to higher leagues.

Not only was the performance of these teams underwhelming, but they couldn’t achieve much in the VCT 2023 season. There were talks of Seninels‘ roster being dropped but there have been no updates on that. Although the 100 Thieves roster is definitely going to see a change with IGL Steller and Derrek leaving the team.

100 Thieves form has been good for the past few VCTs, and the start for the team with LOCK//IN São Paulo was good. The Org landed in the 8th position during the LOCK//IN after losing to Fnatic. However, considering Fnatic’s splendid form through the VCT 2023, this loss was expected. However, the team didn’t stand out at all during the Americas League or the Americas LCQs and were out quite early on. And considering this underwhelming performance, the Org is looking at some drastic changes now.

The Org is parting ways with the team’s IGL Steller and member Derrek. This decision comes in from the Org’s official Twitter handle. The Org paid homage to the two members and how great and valuable they had been for the team and now it’s time to turn over a new leaf and work towards a new roster. Both Steller and Derrek had been in the Valorant Pro scene since the game’s inception and joined 100 Thieves together in 2022.

Furthermore, both the players are now also leaving the Org together. Their performance, clutches, and in-game leading in the VCT 2023 were good, albeit not game-winning. With these two key players leaving the team, fans are wondering who’ll be called in as a replacement for such splendid players.
