Controversy and drama have arrived in the streaming scene, specifically with ex-partners Adept and xQc. For a long time now, the world has had its eyes on their legal disputes that have unfortunately been put out by themselves. Despite being strong for years, the end of their relationship finally arrived in 2022, closing the chapter.
Just recently, Adept stirred major controversy after exposing xQc for paying his moderators to have s*x with him. This had erupted in the community, as these allegations could serve strongly in legal terms for the Canadian-American streamer. More so, Adept had also leaked screenshots, adding fuel to the fire and indirectly exposing xQc without bringing up his name.
This, however, sums up their relationship, as they constantly get stuck over legal disputes. For instance, another recent controversy that took fans by storm was when they found out xQc lost custody of his favorite Mclaren, for which he got trolled heavily online by his fans. These back-and-forths have become a regular event, as the latest dispute came at the expense of Adept’s Twitch account.
Adept gets banned on Twitch following doxing allegations
On October 4th, 2023, Twitch banned Sammy ‘Adept‘ from the platform. This is the first time she would ever receive a ban from the streaming platform. Despite Twitch not officially announcing it or giving reasons as to why the ban came about, netizens were quick to discuss on platforms like Reddit as to why the controversy reached this point.
That’s not all; netizens on the internet were quick to speculate on a couple of reasons that may have led to Adept’s ban. One user commented, “Was leaking illegally obtained DMs on stream”. Another user wrote, “Also publishing the names of people who do not want to be public and harassment”. Despite not being officially announced, many are certain the ban had to be related to Adept doxing xQc’s mods, as the timing makes sense.
Another victim, who goes by CoconutB, was also allegedly harassed by Adept. As a result, the streamer replied to the news of the Twitch ban with a cryptic video of himself laughing, which may confirm the allegations of him being harassed. xQc had also publicized the fact that Adept had allegedly taken over 700 photos from his phone.
