“I hate their ban policy”: Amouranth blasts Twitch for lack of communication after banning a partnered streamer
Amouranth slams Twitch
Kaitlyn ‘Amouranth’ Siragusa was one of top watched female streamers on Twitch this month and also the only female who gained a spot at the Top 100 contenders. Even though she spends most of her time on the platform, she isn’t really a fan of Twitch as she slammed their ban policy during a recent interview.
The American glamour model appeared on her first interview after having a mental breakdown during her livestream, revealing she is being abused by her ‘husband’. The interview with Full Squad Gaming provided many answers to her fans including her views on Twitch’s ban policy.
“I hate their ban policy, its actually interesting as there seems to be a disconnect on Twitch.” She explained that the platform’s Trust and Safety team does not have a proper communication with the rest of the Twitch staff. Apparently, the Trust and Safety team has been given the responsibility to suspend people if they are found violating any guidelines.
Amouranth further continued to say, “They don’t even communicate with the partnered managers.” The concerned team, according to the streamer, does not feel liable to state the reason for an account’s suspension as instead they proclaim, “Yeah, you got this violation in a generic category’’. In addition to that, they remain clueless and offer little help if you wish to get your account unbanned.

How many times has Amouranth been banned on Twitch?
Amouranth might have been ruling Twitch’s hot tub meta at one point of time, but that doesn’t leave her from getting involved in controversies. She was at the forefront of ASMR category streams, which received a huge backlash from a certain community, following which she has dipped her toes on temporary suspensions on Twitch FIVE times, as of now.
The last ban came around October last year, with even the streamer considering it to be her final ban but surprisingly, she was back within a few days with her usual streams. However, her content seems to have taken a drastic change right now with Overwatch 2 being streamed more than ‘hot tubs and pools’.
It is important to note that Amouranth isn’t the only streamer to point out Twitch’s drawbacks over their ban policies as when streamer JiDion received a ban after starting a hate raid against Pokimane, he is yet to be unbanned on the platform. JiDion explained through a YouTube video about Twitch’s se*ist nature as a streamer who was having s*x on stream was just banned for a week.
It seems unlikely that Twitch will revise its ban policies after getting called out by Amouranth, since she is yet to bag an exclusive contract from the platform. However, we cannot rule out the chances completely.
