Defeating Demon King Ganondorf in Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
The fight with Ganondorf is set at the end. When players are done with all the main quests in Tears of the Kingdom, Link’s journey of acquiring the Master Sword and finally rallying to Hyrule would finally set the stage to fight the mighty Demon King Ganondorf. When players pass through the Hyrule Castle Chasm, they will finally be greeted by the ultimate enemy. To defeat the Demon King, players will have to engage in a fight that is divided into three stages, where each successive stage is harder than the previous one.
Players will first have to have some preparation done to have smooth sailing against the sea of Demon King Ganondorf. To defeat the demon kind, follow the directions before attempting to fight the demon King Ganondorf in Tears of the Kingdom.
Preparation for players before dealing with Demon King in Tears of the Kingdom
- Players are advised to keep a good stash of health cards to compensate for all the damage in the fight.
- Keeping a score of high-impact weapons in inventory will only do good as it takes a lot more than just patience to defeat the enemy.
- Having plenty of consumables and stamina upgrades will keep Link in a position to fight through the engagement with Ganondorf.
- Complete all four temple quests as well as the fifth Sage before taking on the Demon King. This comes quite handy for players when getting into the second stage of the fight in Legend Of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
There will be multiple phases in this boss fight.
Phase 1
This is where Ganondorf will first unleash the sword attack. These are not too hard to overcome and are comparatively easy to dodge. However, these attacks will cause gloomy damage. It is recommended to have gloom-resistant consumables in inventory. After players eat through half of Ganondorf’s health, he will start a couple of new moves with a spear attack. Keeping a good distance will do the trick to overcome this change in attack style.
Phase 2
When Ganondorf is low on health after multiple attack streaks, he transcends to a more powerful self. This is where attack power and damage are boosted. He gains the ability to summon shadow copies of himself and his health bar is extended. This will prove a bit of a nuisance, as it gets quite tedious to deal with simultaneous attacks. Patience and quick movement would be very handy in these situations.
This is where the four temples and the fifth sage quest help players balance out the odds, as your allies will join the fight alongside Link. Ganondorf will yield two swords and summon magic orbs to make things worse. If that was not enough, the Demon King will slam players against the surfaces right and left. This takes a lot of health off the health bar for players. Players are advised to dodge these attacks at all costs. If players maintain a good distance, they can overcome these attacks.
Phase 3
When players lower the health bar of Ganondorf to an edge, the Demon King transforms into a Demon Dragon. This is the final form of Link’s final adversity. For players to have a silver lining, this is also where the light dragon will come in for your help. Players will have to focus their attack on the extending parts of the demon dragon. When attacking multiple barrages of damage moves on the three growing tentacles of the dragon, players will have to blow a last attack on the crystal, which is one dragon’s forehead. And thus Link will successfully overcome his mission of taking down the demon once and for all.
Now that players are informed about going about their business with Demon King, follow the given instructions and steps to make life a little easier. So go out there and slay the evil King and protect Hyrule from his treachery.
