Flavio Briatore dismissed rumors regarding Alpine potentially going up for sale amidst the team's recent struggles.

Alpine on Friday at the Spanish GP announced that the return of Flavio Briatore to Enstone as an Executive Advisor. FIA had banned the Italian for life over the infamous Crashgate scandal in 2008. However this ban was overturned in 2013.
Everyone at the paddock assumed, Flavio Briatore return to F1 and joining Alpine is linked to the team is up for sale. However, the 74-year-old expressed ‘100%’ denial to this rumor, claiming that the French team was not for sale. Briatore highlighted, he is here in Alpine to help his friend Luca De Meo build his team, and improve their performance by being their executive advisor.

The Italian was also asked, whether Alpine is going to use Mercedes engines from 2026. He stated, No decision’s and Ongoing negotiations are being made currently. However, Briatore stated that they’re are trying all options to be competitive and exploring what all changes they can make to improve their car’s performance.

Flavio Briatore claims Lewis Hamilton can give Ferrari a ‘big hand’ with his experience
Flavio Briatore while talking to media, explained Ferrari has been performing exceptionally well in Formula 1. He believed it is good for the sport and everyone if the iconic “Red Team” succeeds. The 74-year-old expressed his views on Lewis Hamilton joining Ferrari. The Italian considers this as not only a strong sporting move but also a great marketing opportunity. Hamilton’s arrival would benefit both Ferrari’s competitiveness and it’s brand image.

The Italian also expressed his sympathy for Carlos Sainz as, a consistent driver like him had to empty his seat at the greatest team.
