F1 Australian GP: “Sh*t run,” Charles Leclerc goes on an angry rant after a poor qualifying at Albert Park
Charles Leclerc grew frustrated after a dismal Qualifying session at Melbourne.

Charles Leclerc
The Australian GP Qualifying is over. Max Verstappen clinched Pole Position. While Scuderia Ferrari had a disappointing session. Carlos Sainz came home in P5 with teammate Charles Leclerc only managing P7 for the Sunday race. The Monegasque driver was not happy with the session. As the Italian team expected a lot more out of its car during Qualifying.
Charles Leclerc had an outburst on the team radio after the session. The 25-year-old mentioned that the final run was not satisfactory as Leclerc didn’t get an opportunity for a prep lap. He stated, “Shit run. No prep lap.” The Scuderia had expected rain in the last few minutes of the session, but the weather stayed clear. As such, Charles further pointed that out to his team. Leclerc continued, “The rain is not there.”
The Monegasque driver resorted to some sarcasm in his message. Leclerc’s teammate Carlos Sainz had made a mistake during their first runs in Q3 that forced Charles Leclerc to abandon his run. This agitated the 25-year-old, who joked about it on the team radio. Charles concluded, “Thanks to Carlos for the tow in 3-4.. Got a bit of speed there. Always nice.”
“Xavi costing us again” – Fans fed up with Ferrari after Charles Leclerc’s P7 in Qualifying

Fans on Twitter were frustrated with the Scuderia once again. One user mentioned how Charles Leclerc’s race engineer Xavi again caused the Monegasque to fall down the order. As the team waited for rain which never arrived. The user said, “Xavi costing us again there.” While another fan speculated whether Ferrari is trying to get its driver to leave Maranello. The fan replied, “Ferrari really trying everything to make CL leave for another team.”
Another user stated how disorganized Fred Vasseur‘s team is right now. Carlos Sainz had gotten a chance to do a prep lap, while Charles Leclerc didn’t. The user said, “Carlos prep lap. Charles no prep lap. Engineers saying the rain is coming and ofc it never did. This team just can never be on the same page.” While another user wanted what the Ferrari engineers have for making such calls. The user wrote, “I want what Ferrari engineers smoke.”
Thus, Charles Leclerc continues to have a frustrating 2023 season. The Monegasque driver wants to win his first F1 world title with the Scuderia. However, things are not going to plan. As Maranello struggles to improve its strategic calls. If such incidents happen further this season. Leclerc might consider looking elsewhere to accomplish his dream in Formula 1.
