But Sergio Perez in his first season showed how equipped he was to play the perfect team mate for Red Bull’s star driver, Max Verstappen.

Sergio Perez had a huge role to play in Max Verstappen winning the world championship. The Mexican defended like a lion to bring Max Verstappen back into the race in Abu Dhabi which he ultimately went on to win.
