Mercedes AMG F1 is one of the most dominant teams in the pinnacle of motorsport. When they joined Formula 1 back in 2010, not much was expected from the duo of Nico Rosberg and Michael Schumacher. Until the 2014 regulations came into play, the German automobile manufacturer was never really as competitive as Red Bull and Ferrari during their first few seasons after their comeback. 

However, Mercedes were in for a ride as they absolutely bossed, the 2014 regulations, wherein the turbo hybrid era in Formula 1 started. Since then, the Brackley based team has gone on to win eight constructors championships in a row and seven drivers championships, which is a really staggering number In a sport that is growing at an abysmal rate each and every day, Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes dominance did not last for long.

After losing the drivers championship to Max Verstappen in 2021, Mercedes were confident that they would be able to secure both the titles in 2022 and were really hoping for the same. Their aspirations went sideways as Redbull went on to become the most dominant team on the grid last season. After seeing the German automobile Manufacturer’s latest tweet, fans are concerned yet again as to how the team will perform this season.

Fans react as Mercedes allegedly jinxes them so for the upcoming season

Driver is Lewis Hamilton and George Russell will be piloting the Mercedes W 14 challenger for the 2023 F1 season.  Hamilton was unable to win a race last year, but is confident that he will be able to change that this year. Mercedes fans on Twitter have their high hopes for the team, but are reluctant to say anything that might ‘jinx’ them. This is due to the situation that happened back in 22 after Toto Wolff said that everyone had a target on your back at the end of the drive to survive series episode.
