After several rounds of power-packed racing, Red Bull racer Max Verstappen has drawn an end to the first half of his 2023 F1 season with the highest points in the grid. As the summer holidays have rolled in, the Formula One circus is on a break for a three-week period. During this time, most of the racers as well as the team personnel have headed home or gone on some trips with their loved ones to spend some quality time away from the tracks. Even Max did go to Sardinia with girlfriend Kelly Piquet and her daughter Penelope. But now, he is back to donning his racing suit.

As one of the youngest racers to have entered Formula One, Max Verstappen had wowed everyone with his debut for Scuderia Toro Rosso several years back. Now, he is a two-time World Champion for Red Bull. And even during the summer break, Max can hardly stay away from his Red Bull Racing overalls as he went racing with ‘Mad’ Mike Whiddett to “learn” some drifting skills from him.

Trading his RB-19 for a Mazda RX7, Max Verstappen was seen hanging out with pro-drifter Mike Whiddett for a video that featured on Red Bull Racing‘s YouTube page. Quite unsurprisingly, Max quickly picked up the lessons as he performed an impressive donut and then a figure-8. He also did a Scandi flick. With this, he won the hearts of his countless fans as they took to social media to encourage him to leave F1 and go to Rally Cross.

While Max Verstappen quickly performed a donut, then an 8-figure and also the Scandi flick, his lessons on drifting did not end there. As a final challenge, his ‘tutor’ Mike Whiddett introduced him to a game he has devised, called the ‘Horner Corner’. Mike arranged some cardboard cutouts of the Red Bull Team Principal Christian Horner, and challenged Max to go around them and hit their hand.

Max Verstappen’s dominance in Formula One has now started making his opponents quite frustrated. Lewis Hamilton earlier claimed that the 25-year old’s string of wins at the Grands Prix has made Formula One quite boring now. But Ferrari’s Team Principal Frederic Vasseur recently went against Lewis’ comment to say that Max is winning the races because the Red Bull car is simply perfect and the Dutchman is quite good at handling it.
