Alonso was voted “Driver of the day”. The fans enjoyed his clean racing and cheered him on. However, it was a sad day for Ferrari fans as Charles Leclerc’s SF23 failed him. During the race, the other Ferrari driver Sainz complained about the car bouncing, but he went on to finish fourth.

Another important event to note was McLaren’s performance. The Silverstone-based team had a terrible day at the office. While Oscar Piastri had to stop midway due to technical issues, his teammate Lando Norris was 2 laps behind the leader. Esteban Ocon, the Alpine driver, also had a rough day, he had several penalties during the race, which eventually led to memes on the internet.
