Max Verstappen has been in the headlines frequently during the ongoing 2024 F1 season. From his menacing on-track performances to amassing interest in the paddock, he has been in the limelight. Former Haas boss, Guenther Steiner, has recently taken the time to give a verdict on the driver’s future.

Amidst the ongoing internal turmoil at Red Bull, Max Verstappen has been linked with a move away from the team. Mercedes has come up as one of the prominent names but, Guenther Steiner feels, Aston Martin could also be a potential destination.

I think everyone in Formula 1 at the moment is interested in Max Verstappen. It could be Mercedes, who obviously have got a free seat with Lewis [Hamilton] going to Ferrari. Aston Martin as well is a possibility, but I think if Max goes somewhere, I guess he would go to Mercedes.

The reigning world champion is undoubtedly one of the hottest properties in F1. He has seen a massive rise in his stock as a racer driver since winning his maiden world championship and pretty much every outfit wants to have him on their team. He currently has a contract at Red Bull until the of 2028.

While Guenther Steiner has given his take on where Max Verstappen could end up in the coming years, the latter is focusing only on the present. He wants to give his undivided attention to the ongoing campaign and thus, has set his sights on Suzuka.

It is Verstappen’s one of the most favorite tracks on the 2024 calendar.

The temperature will probably be a little different. But for me, Suzuka is one of my favorite circuits. So of course, it's always nice to be there. Of course also, with the relationship we have with Honda and the Japanese fans, I always have a lot of fun being there.

The 26-year-old won the last year’s Japan event in a dominant fashion. He triumphed in the 53-lap event by a margin of 19 seconds over second place, Lando Norris. Verstappen will eye a similar outing during the upcoming Japanese Grand Prix. Fans will be out in huge numbers to support the prolific Dutchman.
