It was known very well to everyone that this year was gonna be Fernando Alonso’s last year with Alpine. This is the same team that the Spaniard has won all his F1 championships with back when it was called Renault. However, it seems like everything has changed in the team including even the name. Nevertheless, Nando hasn’t left the sport for those wondering.

It was announced a while ago that Aston Martin driver Sebastian Vettel will be retiring from the sport at the end of the year. Spanish F1 driver Fernando Alonso saw this as the perfect opportunity to grab the empty seat alongside Lance Stroll for 2023. And he actually managed to do it after Alpine was pressuring him to sign a single year contract. This was not what Nando wanted.

The Spaniard had a lot of inconveniences with Alpine and his teammate Esteban Ocon which seemed to not help the team move forward. The constant failures and DNF’s while competing for a good points finish seemed to disappoint the 2 time world champion. It was obvious that he needed more and Seb left a perfect opportunity for the driver.

With the season over, the Ex-Alpine driver didn’t leave any room for goodbyes as he could not wait to get out of there. The Spaniard who is now a part of Aston Martin moved into their hospitality with all of his luggage ready to go. The fans could not get enough of this hilarious moment. It will be interesting to witness the pairing of Alonso and Aston Martin in 2023.
