The current 2022 Formula 1 World Championship has been a thrilling spectacle for all the motorsport enthusiasts till now. As six races have already taken place, we have all gotten a pretty clear idea about the frontrunners of this season. While Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz showed the power of their mighty SF-75 in the initial races of this year, Red Bull suffered from engine issues and reliability problems, that resulted in multiple race retirements for reigning World Champion Max Verstappen.
But now, Red Bull has undergone a 180° change, with newer configurations for their RB-18. We saw the Milton-Keynnes-based team perform really well in Ferrari’s home ground in the Emiglia Romania Grand Prix, as they secured a 1-2 finish by beating their title rivals–the Scuderia.

But one team that has disappointed many fans this year is the Silver Arrows of Mercedes. The Stuttgart-based team faced severe problems with their W13 as it was nowhere near their rival cars in terms of race pace and managing porpoising problems. Now, Mercedes has redeemed itself and is performing quite well compared to their results in the initial races.

Lewis Hamilton speaks about the probable World Champion for this year’s F1 season
In seven-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton’s opinion, the Championship results will not go in the favour of Max Verstappen even though the Dutchman is leading the WDC Standings at the moment. A former rival of Lewis’ and a mighty Red Bull driver, Max has proven his mettle by catching up with Leclerc and even going above him in the points table even though he was 46 points behind the Monegasque at one point in time.
According to Lewis, he is backing the Scuderia for another Championship title this year, and with them, Charles Leclerc might also clinch the title of the World Champion. He said, “Charles is a very strong driver, and Ferrari has shown that they know how to build a great car.”
Lewis Hamilton also said, “I would add one thing: if I could sit with the tifosi over there, I would support Charles. I’m a Ferrari fan.”
