Frederic Vasseur is the new man at the helm of the Ferrari F1 Team, and its driver, Carlos Sainz has shown faith in the ability of the Frenchman to lead the team next year.
Carlos Sainz has been with Ferrari since the 2021 F1 season and firmly believes, that the appointment of Frederic Vasseur will motivate everyone on the team to do well.
While applauding the former Alfa Romeo Team Principal, Sainz added, “It’s a change that we hope will be for the better, whenever someone new arrives there is extra motivation to want to do well for him and the team will take another step forward, we have to give him time.“
Carlos Sainz has spoken highly of Vasseur and has made it known that everyone on the team is excited about his arrival.
Moreover, the smooth operator has further indicated that everyone on the Maranello-based team would have to give him time to settle in well.
Carlos Sainz reveals that Frederic Vasseur has previously tried to sign him
The appointment of Vasseur has brought fresh life into the Ferrari F1 team and Sainz is extremely pleased with his appointment.
He further added, “Ferrari is a giant of 1,200 or 1,300 people, and he has to see how everyone works and works, knowing what changes he needs does not happen from one day to the next, it will take time.”
“I trust him, I know him and they have spoken to me well from him, he already tried to sign me to go to Renault, we negotiated and we had contact, and yesterday I called him and I had my first contact as a Ferrari driver, I know he will do well.”
Carlos Sainz has shown optimism around Frederic Vasseur’s appointment, and has even, revealed that he had a chat with him recently.
However, despite Vasseur’s arrival, there are doubts as to how the team would perform under him, especially considering the abrupt departure of Mattia Binotto.
