Sergio Perez, the Red Bull racing driver was recently seen in New York. The Mexican attended Red Bull’s launch event unveiling their car RB19 on friday along with Team Principal Christian Horner and drivers Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo. The event was an hour long.

Perez made another appearance shortly after that, the Red Bull driver, Christian Horner and Jim Farley, the President and CEO of Ford Motor Company were guests on Jimmy Fallon’s Late Night Show. It is an American late-night talk show hosted by Fallon. It is a variety show and focuses on entertainment. This is a huge growth for the sport as it is just making its way to the American audience. 

The episode was quite hilarious. Jim Farley helped Fallon get ready for his race with Perez, buttering him up that he was the ideal candidate to beat Formula 1 drivers. The duo took a lap around the go-kart circuit in electric cars after their funny exchange. Perez made a heroic appearance all suited up for his battle with Fallon. The race was initiated by Christian Horner. And Fallon won by a close finish making him the “Electric Go-Kart Champion of the World”.

Earlier during the week, Daniel Ricciardo appeared on the late show with Stephen Colbert and now Sergio Perez on Jimmy Fallon. The sport is clearly getting bigger in America. This segment was mainly to promote Red Bull’s partnership with Ford. Jim Farley mentioned he wanted to promote his electrical vehicles and that this partnership with Red Bull makes sense.
