Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen shared a brilliant championship battle last year with the Dutchman emerging as the winner under controversial circumstance. This landed a pretty hefty blow on the seven time world championship’s mindset, who even considered retiring from the sport at one point in time. But, Lewis decided to come back to sport he loves and make amends for what happened last year.

We expected him to be competing with Max Verstappen again this year but it has been anything but that. After the massive overhaul in regulations, the tables completely turned in regards to the power dynamism. Mercedes has been unsuccessful to build a car which could give the competitive edge to Lewis Hamilton. Despite of that, nobody expected George Russell to dominate Lewis like the way he has done.

Criticism has flown from all directions as the seven time world champion has endured one of the worst starts to a season in over a decade. Lewis finds himself 6th in the driver’s standing, 98 points behind championship leader, Max Verstappen, and 34 points behind his team mate, George Russell, who has been an epitome of consistency despite Mercedes failing to get on top of the issues with that W-13.

After Helmut Marko in Imola, Jackie Stewart has hit out at Lewis Hamilton following his struggles. In one of the recent interviews, Steward gave some harsh advice to Lewis saying, “It’s time for him to resign.

With his music and clothes, Hamilton has enough other things he can get involved with and also be successful with.

“He’s now struggling a little bit because he’s had a new teammate who’s been quicker than him in qualifying so far, which is gonna be difficult for him to handle,” as reported by gpblog.

Lewis Hamilton has definitely had a tough start to the season but it’s a little too harsh to tell him to hang up his boots. The seven time world champion has a lot of character to bounce back from that situation as he has shown us in the past.
