Former Mercedes man James Vowles claims Lewis Hamilton’s ‘natural talent’ trumps Michael Schumacher
Lewis Hamilton has time and again been compared to the great German racer Michael Schumacher who earned a total of seven World Championships while driving for Lotus and Ferrari.

Formula 1 can be considered as one of the longest-running sport franchises that has its commencement in the 1950s. Ever since its start, F1 has remained quite an exclusive sport, opening its doors only to the rich White aristocrats of Europe. But the scene has changed considerably now. F1 has become a household name and it has also seen some diversity in its driver line-up–and a huge chunk of this improvement is because of Lewis Hamilton. As the first and only Black racer in F1 history, Lewis has advocated for inclusivity and his sheer talent has helped his fame travel outside of motorsports to make him a global star.
Lewis Hamilton has seven World Championships to his name–a feat that had only been achieved once before by the German legend Michael Schumacher. But Lewis is currently 39 years old, and he just signed up for a couple more years with Mercedes, thus giving the clue that he is not going to stop before attaining an eighth F1 title for himself. This would mean Lewis is an even greater talent that Schumacher–and that is exactly what former Mercedes motorsports strategist James Vowles confirmed at a recent interview.
Vowles, who is now the Team Principal of Williams, has seen Lewis Hamilton up and close and also worked with the Briton. Having interacted with Lewis, he seemed to have no qualms against singing praises of the Silver Arrows racer as he compared him to Michael Schumacher.
[Lewis Hamilton is] the most naturally talented driver I’ve worked with including Michael [Schumacher].James Vowles said, as reported by SilverArrows.net.
Max Verstappen’s former trainer Bradley Scanes claims he only knew Lewis Hamilton before joining F1
Bradley Scanes has been a Red Bull physical therapist for a long time, and he was employed as a trainer for the Austrian team’s marquee driver Max Verstappen too. But the Briton has recently claimed that he never knew about Max before starting to work with him. And he followed this up with even more shocking information claiming that Max’s Mercedes rival Lewis Hamilton is the only F1 driver he knew about before joining the pinnacle of motorsports.
Bradley Scanes has been a terrific force that helped Max Verstappen brave through the taxing Championship seasons to bring three World Drivers’ titles home. But the Englishman will be leaving the side of the 26-year-old from 2024 onwards. This means that Max will be missing a major factor that helped him during his previous three Championship campaigns. It remains to be seen whether this causes a hiccup in Max’s path towards a fourth title victory next year or not.
