Being a flashy affair with Grands Prix organised all around the world in some truly exotic locations, it is no surprise that F1 has a huge fanbase. And as one of the biggest stars in the universe of this sport, Lewis Hamilton boasts a great influence. He has 34.7 million followers on Instagram, and his devoted fans identify themselves as ‘Hamilfans’.
Owing to their massive love and respect for the seven-time World Champion, it is understandable that none of the fans stay in their right mind while meeting Lewis Hamilton. Speaking on some instances where the fan encounters ended up spooking the Mercedes racer, Lewis Hamilton talked about an incident that is utterly hilarious. And to everyone’s surprise, the Briton’s crazier fan experience happens to involve his undergarments.
At an interview with GQSports, Lewis revealed the weirdest gift he ever received from a fan. It was a pair of boxers that he even tried on forore effect! Unfortunately, Lewis’ new boxers would not even go past his knees as they were several sizes too small. Speaking on it, Lewis said, “They were, like, kids’ boxer shorts. It was so funny! I guess they just wanted me to wear them, I don’t know?”

Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes have been an indomitable match for six years as the Stuttgart outfit has given the Brit his six Championships. But lately, the German manufacturers have fallen short of delivering the excellence that fans expect from them. Over the next few months, Mercedes are supposed to be hard at work developing their 2024 F1 car, and it is to be seen if that machine can bring them back to their winning ways.
Speaking on what Lewis Hamilton would like to incorporate in Mercedes’ strategy to improve their car, he said they should follow McLaren. The papaya army had numerous DNFs and last-place finishes from Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri at the start of this season, but now they are regularly being seen on the podium. This improvement has given Lewis hope that Mercedes can also fix their W14’s shortcomings to aim for better results in the future races.
But as of now, Lewis Hamilton and George Russell do not look to be in a good position. The British pair both got two underwhelming ranks at P7 and P8 at the Japanese GP which was recently held. Thus, it remains to be seen how well Mercedes can live up to the challenge of performing better in the upcoming Grands Prix as they are currently stuck in a tight battle for the second position in the World Championship with Scuderia Ferrari.
