The names are in for the SportsPro awards for this year, and heading the list is football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, who walked away with the honour of being the Most Marketable Athlete of 2022. As it is known to many, Formula One is one of the costliest sports in the world, with millions of dollars and pounds of investments made by the sponsors and the team owners. And the F1 racers make a filthy amount of money every year in salary compensation, endorsements, and other sources of income. SportsPro, in association with NorthStar have compiled a list of the athletes, from different types of sports, who are the most “marketable”.
The marketability of the athletes have been decided based off of some factors such as their brand strength, the audience they serve, and their reach through their respective sport. Undoubtedly, many F1 racers have made it to the list, because of the massive reach and traction that the sport has achieved in recent times.
