Max Verstappen is not letting things settle until someone pays for his broken Hungarian GP trophy that cost over $40,000.
The Hungarian GP was an action-packed funfest for all the Red Bull and McLaren fans thanks to Max Verstappen and Lando Norris. It all started from the very first lap as the Dutchman went past his longtime rival Lewis Hamilton after starting alongside him in the front row. During the rucus caused because of the clash between Max and Lewis, the two McLarens of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri took full advantage of the confusion and surpassed a seemingly struggling Lewis.
At the end of the race, Max Verstappen came out as the undisputed Champion followed by Lando Norris in the second place. The British racer had to overcome some great challenges by going past opponents like Oscar Piastri and Lewis Hamilton to get to his P2 spot. Once the results were announced and the two close friends, Lando and Max, went for popping the champagne to celebrate their podium wins, a mishap happened and the McLaren racer was partly responsible for it.
During their champagne spraying, Lando accidentally pushed against Max Verstappen’s Hungarian GP winner’s trophy. The neoclassical marvel, designed by the famed Herend Porcelain Manufactory, features a beautiful blend of the color that is known as the ‘purpura of Herend’. Priced at over 40,000$, the Hungarian GP trophy is one of the most unique ones amongst those of all the F1 Grands Prix. But thanks to Lando Norris, Max Verstappen‘s trophy was broken into two pieces, leading to the Dutchman asking for compensation for it from McLaren Chief Zak Brown.
