The 2024 F1 season has officially begun. With the first Grand Prix being done and dusted, people are clearly able to see the Red Bull domination. Max Verstappen, led the race from start to finish and brought home the victory.
During the press day, drivers do a lot of interviews. During one of them, the current world champion was asked, who does think of when it comes to championship top three? Without hesitation, Verstappen went ahead and said, himself, Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc.
Hamilton and Leclerc are future teammates, and the duo being podium finishers for the championship would be a kind of a dream come true for Ferrari. But what Verstappen didn’t do was mention his teammate, Sergio Perez, who came in second last season, he also did not take the name of his trophy breaker, and bestie, Lando Norris.

The mini clip from the interview has been going viral and giving way to many speculations. Such as why didn’t Verstappen mention their names? Does he not think of them as a tough competition? However, it’s just his prediction, and there are still 23 races to go and see how the season unfolds.
Max Verstappen is Red Bull’s savior
Amid the excitement surrounding the 2024 season, a female coworker accused the Red Bull team principal, Christian Horner of being manipulative and inappropriate last month, sending shockwaves through F1. While Horner was cleared of the allegations ahead of Bahrain GP, the leaked messages only added more fuel to the controversy.
Red Bull, the most dominant team over the previous two seasons, could suffer as a result of this controversy. Max Verstappen, set a new record by winning the Bahrain GP in 1:31:44 seconds. Carlos Sainz Jr. trailed by 25.110 seconds, and his teammate Sergio Perez by 22.457 seconds. With the chaos that’s going around due to the controversy, there was a lot of weight on the shoulders of the current world champion.
According to the Dutchman, he started his season the same as the last one, he just wishes to break his last year’s during the ongoing campaign. Verstappen’s performance was vital, and in both qualifying and the race, the Red Bull driver, who has been a consistent winner for the team over the last three seasons, performed admirably.
