Red Bull secured a 1-2 in Spain with Max Verstappen taking the win and Sergio Perez finishing behind his team mate. But, we saw what we were used to seeing with Mercedes while Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas were driving as team mates with Lewis Hamilton being the number one driver.

That’s exactly what happened in Spain with Red Bull telling Sergio Perez to let Max Verstappen in a race where nothing important was at stake. It seemed like the whole Red Bull team is working to put Max Verstappen in a situation which would enable him to win his second world championship. But, the incident at the Spanish GP definitely didn’t go down well with Sergio Perez.

Sergio Perez in his post race interview said, “It is a bit frustrating from my side at the moment but it is a great team result and we are now leading the constructors – that is something I am very pleased with.”

Despite of what happens on the track, we know that Sergio Perez and Max Verstappen get along really well of the track and maybe that was the reason Checo got his elbows out in Abu Dhabi last year which tremendously helped Max to get back into the race and eventually win his first world champion. Max Verstappen also has been vocal about how great a team mate Sergio Perez is.

Recently, the duo got together to answer some hilarious question in a fun game. While discussing about the best drivers, Sergio Perez asks, “Do you know who our favorite driver is?”

He jokingly says, “You and me of course, and Lewis. But normally a little more Lewis.”

Max Verstappen hilariously replies saying, “That has to change now, of course!” as reported by gpblog.

We all know how important winning the championship is for the teams but they also need to put up a show for the fans by the letting their drivers fight it for crucial positions.
