“The detail is insane” – Reddit dumbfounded by an incredible Red Bull F1 garage cutaway created by a fan

The Red Bull Formula 1 team has had an amazing season in 2022. It utterly dominated the sport, with Max Verstappen bagging a record-breaking 15 wins, and winning the championship with 4 rounds to spare. Throughout the year the Austrian team had several funny moments as well as some controversial ones, including the recent tensions between Verstappen and Sergio Perez over team orders. However, the team finished the year on a high note, with Max winning the season finale in Abu Dhabi.
To commemorate Red Bull’s season, a fan on Reddit created a cutaway of the team’s garage filling it with astonishing details and fitting every single reference imaginable. There is a spice girls tour bus right behind the garage, a nod to Christian Horner’s wife Geri Halliwell, a member of the group. Horner is found diving into the team’s pool at Monaco in a superman cape, a recreation of the team boss’s dive after the 2006 Monaco Grand Prix.
There lies an extravagant catering room but what’s more interesting is the chefs in the design room looking over a mini prototype along with Gordon Ramsey reenacting his famous tuna sandwich scene, a reference to the Austrian team’s alleged overspending in the foods department. The catering room also has some Ferrari personnel trying the delicacies. A cut out of Daniel Ricciardo is also being pulled out of a promo closet as the Aussie returns to the team as a reserve next year.
Behind the back window, there are two Aston Martin team members, who have carrying cameras, trying to spy the Red Bull’s car design. We also have a stage where the Pitstop Boys are performing their famous hit, ‘Super Max.’ In the garage, we also spot Sergio Perez‘s car with a tow-rope as the team reminds the Mexican of his duties as the second driver. At the entrance we see Sky sports crew trying to interview the team members after Red Bull’s boycott.
Fans can’t stop finding new references in the Red Bull garage cutaway
The cutaway was posted on Reddit, and fans instantly fell in love with it. Users were in awe over the attention to detail and the effort put in by the creator. One user said, “The detail is insane and I bet I’m not even catching half the jokes” while another fan replied, “This is brilliant yet again, please never stop making these.” Another fan applauded the effort and said, “These are WAYY too good. The details, the jokes, the references.”
Users also pointed out the instances they could spot, with one fan commenting, “I don’t know what my favorite thing is between The catering buffet, The engineering department being a Kitchen with Gordon Ramsey (and Julie Chen), the PitStop Boys, Latifi Employee of the month November 2021 (#WentRacing), The “creative accounting” book in the office, Checo’s car with a tow cable… and I’m still looking and finding new stuff! Amazing art!”
The list is never-ending, the whole model is so skillfully done, it’s marvellous. Every single spot has a joke within it, every single pixel has been used to the fullest. We have to look at every single spot of the cutaway carefully to spot all the jokes and references in it. If that’s not all, the creator has made similar cutaways of the Ferrari and Mercedes team garages as well. A project like this truly shows the passion and love fans have for F1. We really do respect this amazing piece of work and look forward to more.
