Lewis Hamilton would all the support that he could get during this period when nothing has gone his way. The seven-time world champion has been struggling to get anywhere close to the likes of Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc. It’s been a nightmare start to the season the legend as Mercedes has failed to provide with the same kind of machinery that he is used to getting in the past few years.
But, it’s just not down to the car as George Russell has out-qualified and outperformed the veteran on multiple occasions. Mercedes prodigy has been able to get so much more out of the same car. Hence, the criticism has flooded in from all directions. We expected Lewis Hamilton drastically after a horror show in Imola which saw him stuck behind AlphaTauri’s Pierre Gasly finishing a disappointing P13.
We can’t say that the situation has improved drastically but it’s better than what we saw in Ferrari’s home race. Lewis Hamilton will start from the third row of the grid which seems like a luxury for him for the time being keeping in mind the kind of performances he has produced this season. Despite all of this, he wouldn’t be short of any support.
