“The goal is to win both”: Max Verstappen lets it be known that he is not satisfied with winning the Drivers’ Championship

Only a few weeks ago, Max Verstappen earned his second World Championship title to get into an exclusive club of multiple F1 title holders, at the Japanese Grand Prix in Suzuka. The Dutchman is currently embroiled in controversy surrounding his first world title because the FIA have recently alleged his team, Red Bull, of violating the cost cap they set in 2021. But he has proven he deserves the honour by having a go at it for a second time.

While the world is still busy celebrating Max Verstappen’s brilliant racing in this current 2022 season, that led to him winning the Championship this year, the 25-tear-old has clarified that the road does not end for him yet. In a recent interview leading up to the United States GP, Max Verstappen said his wishes this year would be fulfilled only if he brings home the Constructors’ Championship trophy for Red Bull.

At this moment, Red Bull is leading the standings for the F1 2022 Constructors’ Championship by a massive 165 points over Ferrari. If all things go well for the British team, then, in all probability, they will clinch their first Championship title since 2013 in the United States Grand Prix itself.

In the Press Conference before the United States GP, Max Verstappen appeared in front of the media to address all their questions. And when asked about his plans for the remaining three races of this year now that he has already won his title, the ambitious Red Bull prodigy said, “We’re still focussed on securing the Constructors’ for the Team. The ultimate goal is of course to win both, but we need to keep our heads down, it will come if we keep performing well.”

In other news, Charles Leclerc has also claimed that Ferrari have improved several things on their F1-75 to ensure a race win for the Maranello outfit in Texas. If all things go well for the Scuderia, they will be able to end their year on a high, according to Leclerc himself.
