The 2023 F1 season for all the teams got underway at the Bahrain International Circuit. Mercedes in particular struggled a lot to keep up with teams like Ferrari, Aston Martin, and, Red Bull. Moreover, Lewis Hamilton saw himself get passed by Fernando Alonso in an Aston Martin. It was a painful sight for him and his fans all over the World.
It is a common belief that the Brackley-based team has got it wrong again in terms of its car concept. The W14 was nowhere near the pace of the front runners in Bahrain, which is a huge reason to worry for Lewis Hamilton. The Brit wanted to fight for the Championship this year.
The situation is really bad at Mercedes, and looking at how Toto Wolff and Co. have spoken after the first race of the 2023 season, the signs are not looking too good for Lewis Hamilton and George Russell.
