“Two teammates and a third wheel,” Fans react as Charles Leclerc attends NBA match with Esteban Ocon and Pierre Gasly
Charles Leclerc had two special guests with him for an interesting collaboration with NBA.
Pierre Gasly, Charles Leclerc and Esteban Ocon
Fans on Twitter were shocked to see F1’s collaboration with NBA as Charles Leclerc, Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon were spotted during an NBA match in the court side seats. The trio of F1 drivers headed to Paris in order to watch a game between the Detroit Pistons and Chicago Bulls.
With all three drivers being very close to the event, it explains why they wanted to watch it together.
Charles Leclerc is on a contract with Ferrari whilst the same can be said for Esteban Ocon and his contract with Alpine. Pierre Gasly on the other hand joined the French team last year but is yet to compete in his first race. It was pretty surprising to see the French-speaking trio coming to watch the match together. Off season doesn’t seem to end when it comes to resting and relaxation.
Fans were quick to point out the fact that Charles Leclerc was sitting in between Alpine drivers Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon. With Pierre and Esteban having a lot of fights in the past, it’s clear that there has always been some tension between the two French drivers. With Charles sitting in the middle of the two teammates, it was rather quiet fun to see them in that situation.

It will be interesting to see how the trio comes in 2023. While Charles will be embarking on a journey to win his first F1 world title, Gasly and Ocon will be adamant about proving who’s the better driver on the track with equal machinery.
Alpine had a good track record last season with Alonso on board. However, the All French combo of Ocon and Gasly might prove to be deadly on their competition.
