The most famous Australian driver in Formula 1, Daniel Ricciardo, has taken the RB7 for a spin in Australia’s most challenging terrain. Ricciardo might not be on the grid for the Australian Grand Prix, but that doesn’t stop the driver from getting behind the wheels of RB7 and having the time of his life. Oracle Red Bull Racing shared a video on social media of Ricciardo’s wild experience. It was titled “Daniel Ricciardo’s Great Aussie Road Trip”.

Daniel Ricciardo was announced as Red Bull’s third driver after his McLaren exit. The Australian was elated with this move and felt he was back home. Since then, Ricciardo has been fulfilling his role in Red Bull. He took part in the 2023 contender RB19’s car launch in the US. Ricciardo missed the first two races of the season. However, he will attend the third one in his country, the Australian GP.

Ahead of the Australian GP, Ricciardo took the RB7 and zoomed through a dust trail across the outback far away from Albert Park. The 9 minutes video was like a short film. It was well-taken. And also featured other Red Bull athletes, Daniel Sanders, Matt Hall, Toby Price, and Shane van Gisbergen. They joined Daniel Ricciardo and delivered unbelievable antics. The video also featured Hannah Schmitz, Red Bull’s principal strategy engineer.

Matt Hall is the 2019 Red Bull Air Race champion and former wing commander at the Royal Australian Air Force. He flew over Ricciardo across the Sea Cliff Bridge in the video. It was a beautiful sight to watch. Daniel Ricciardo started in the wild west and went through the farmland and ocean vistas. The video ended with a final challenge at the iconic Mount Panorama.

In a press release, Ricciardo stated, “After my first Red Bull Racing Road Trip in San Francisco, I’ve always wanted the opportunity to do this in Australia. To be back home, taking the RB7 across the Aussie outback, and sharing the best Australia has to offer with the world; what better way to celebrate my first F1 event at home since returning to Oracle Red Bull Racing.”

Daniel Ricciardo wants to extend a helping hand to the RB drivers Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez. He is focused on jumping into the simulator and learning the car. He hopes to contribute to the team and help them. The Australian also wants to develop his abilities and boost his confidence. Daniel Ricciardo will be spotted in the Red Bull garage this weekend.
