It is no news to the fans that the lavish lives of the Formula 1 drivers are filled with speed, a need for adrenaline, and loads of attention from the female followers. And being a literal living legend of the sport with seven World Championship wins to his name, Lewis Hamilton enjoys all three of these like no other. But coming to the dating scene, the Briton has not officially been together with anyone in the recent past. Indeed, he has had a highly publicized relationship with Pussycat Dolls singer Nicole Scherzinger, but that was in 2016.
When The Times asked Lewis to spill the tea on his love life in 2018, the Mercedes man said it was non-existent. But recently, some dating rumors have sparked which involve Lewis Hamilton and one of the biggest popstars in the world–Shakira. The Columbian was spotted partying with the Stevenage-born after the Miami Grand Prix weekend, and fans are now convinced the two are actually dating since Lewis made a big confession at a meet-and-greet in Barcelona.
While speaking with Mercedes teammate George Russell at their event ahead of the Spanish GP, Lewis Hamilton declared his interest in Latinas. It all started with a conversation around Russell and his girlfriend Carmen Montero Mundt. But when the focus shifted to Lewis, he had no stories to share of his own love life. So, George wanted to find him a partner, and Lewis Hamilton then said, “I need to find myself a Latina.“

Shakira is a Columbian by birth, and her music has made waves in the entire pop world. Thus, when Lewis Hamilton confesses he would like a Latin-American girlfriend, some internet sleuths believed he implied his budding relationship with Shakira. The Latina is currently single after her split with her longtime boyfriend Gerard Pique. As of now, Shakira has been linked to several men including Tom Cruise, who was present at the Miami GP with her and was rumored to hit on the singer more than once.
But Shakira is no stranger to dating men from the sports world, and Lewis Hamilton seems to be the right fit for her. This story is unconfirmed as of yet, but if the pop sensation makes her way to Barcelona to attend the Spanish GP and support Lewis, it would be a given fact that her and the Mercedes man are seeing each other.
