Taylor Swift is one of the most popular singers in the world. The Pop icon is often talked about in the F1 paddock, especially during the Miami GP. After it was rumored that Swift would attend the race. Amidst the preparations for the Miami GP, Sergio Perez shared a hilarious comment relating to the American singer’s recent album.

Taylor Swift was the center of attraction when she was rumored to date Fernando Alonso back in 2023. However, the rumors dumbed down and so did Swift’s relevance. With Swift’s new successful album ‘The Tortured Poets Department,’ the American singer has once again gained traction in Formula 1. This was also evident from Sergio Perez‘s comment about the American.

Sergio Perez shared his thoughts about the atmosphere around the Miami GP‘s circuit. The 34-year-old jokingly claimed that he was in the ‘Tortured Poest Era’ due to the hot temperature in and around the circuit. Hence, it is safe to assume that the Mexican driver is a Swiftie apart from excelling in racing in Formula 1. Perez also mentioned that he was exhausted due to the temperature. It must be noted that Taylor Swift decided to skip the race, with her boyfriend Travis Kelce attending alone.

Sergio Perez was investigated for falsely starting the Miami GP

Sergio Perez had an incident while starting the Miami GP during the lights out. The Mexican driver potentially falsely started the race from the get-go. The investigation cleared out the 34-year-old from the false start and was not penalized for the incident. However, the lock-up incident further down the turn 1 was reported by Carlos Sainz from Ferrari. Perez might face a penalty for the risky move at the beginning of the race. However, the Mexican is currently battling out on the track for a good finish.

Sergio Perez’s performance will likely enable him to secure a seat at Red Bull in the coming season. However, Red Bull suffered a setback as Lando Norris stole the race win from Max Verstappen and Milton Keynes. Nevertheless, Perez would be hoping for a better result next race.
