Barcelona connection helps Dani Alves find new way to make money in prison amidst r*pe lawsuit

Dani Alves went to jail in January 2023 after being accused of sexually assaulting a young woman in the bathroom of a Barcelona nightclub. Since then, his defence has been working against the clock to ensure that the judiciary allows the Brazilian to leave prison until the trial is held.

Meanwhile, his companions in module 13 of Brian 2 prison have started a curious business with Alves as the protagonist. Dani Alves has been well received by fellow prisoners since he arrived in prison. Due to his vast footballing success, he has started a league in which different teams compete. According to El Caso, orders for football shirts have “quadrupled” since the Brazilian has been behind bars.

But not only that, but the “traffic” of FC Barcelona shirts signed by Dani Alves has begun to increase. Due to the business’ success, the prison has authorised a prisoner to move around the prison and collect the shirts. They range from those sent by the families to those requested through couriers.

According to the media, the aforementioned prisoner takes them to module 13 and has them signed by Alves. Once this is done, the inmate returns them to each module, and they send them to their families or friends. However, this is not free, as the prisoner charges a commission to each of them through packets of tobacco or different products available in the prison commissary.
