Despite joining the Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr, Cristiano Ronaldo’s dreams of playing in the Champions League may still be alive. A clause in Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract with Al-Nassr reportedly allows him to feature for Newcastle United if the team makes it to the Champions League’s the following year.

According to Marca, this is Ronaldo’s most alluring contract in Saudi Arabia. It is also claimed to have a provision allowing the player to switch to Newcastle United if the club advances to the Champions League the following season. Eddie Howe’s squad is currently third in the Premier League and is headed to participate in the upcoming season of Europe’s top club tournament.

To avoid missing out on Europe’s top competition, he supposedly has a clause in his contract that allows him to go on loan to Newcastle United, who are controlled by the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund.
