Dani Alves’ brother leaves cryptic message on Instagram amidst his ongoing trial
Ney Alves was among the few who stood by his brother, but that might've changed

Ney Alves, Dani Alves’ brother has recently posted a cryptic message on social media. Following the recent allegations against Dani Alves, his brother was amongst the few that did support him initially.
Ney Alves’ shared message roughly translates to, “Jesus, today I don’t want to ask you for anything. I just want to thank you for my health, for my family, for my daily bread, for my freedom and for the opportunity of one more day. Thank God .” Dani Alves is currently held in a prison in Spain without the possibility of bail. The Brazilian was accused of sexually assaulting a woman in a nightclub in Barcelona. The alleged assault is said to have taken place in the December of last year.
The former Brazilian defender’s brother had also slammed Joana Sanz, Dani’s wife for “abandoning” him. ”I’m going to give you some advice, and it’s good even for me. Never expect consideration, recognition or loyalty from anyone.” He continued, “We have to be alert, because the same person who does you great good is the same person who will throw you to the ground tomorrow and crush you mercilessly.”
The Barcelona legend was originally denied bail, having been deemed a “flight risk”. However, a trial date for the court is yet to be announced and Dani Alves will remain in prison for the foreseeable future.

Messi close to equaling Dani Alves’ record

Lionel Messi is about to match Dani Alves’ record as the most decorated footballer of all time. The Brazilian and the Argentine were teammates in Barcelona where the pair won two trebles together.
Dani Alves has won a total of 43 trophies throughout the course of his career. However, following La Pulga’s triumphant World Cup campaign, the Argentine came within just one trophy behind the Brazilian. Now, with the domestic league seasons about to reach a close, and with Paris Saint-Germain six points clear at the top of the table, Dani Alves’ record is in danger of being equalled.
Messi’s PSG face Lens next in the league. The Les Sang et Or are second in the league, and a victory for the home side at the Parc Des Princes could very well conclude the title race with seven more matches to be played. A win for PSG would mean that they would go nine points clear of Lens, and would only need 13 points off their remaining games to clinch the league title for a second season in a row.
