Erling Haaland was the star of the show after he won the Player of the Season award breaking the topscorer charts with 36 goals in his first season as well.

Manchester United has qualified for the Champions League after an absence from the competition last year finishing third this season and ended a trophy drought of seven years after winning the Carabao Cup. It is fair to say the club is reviving under Erik Ten Hag and hopes to aim for bigger ambitions next season. Marcus Rahford was their best man with 17 goals and five assists to his name.

The football teams from Manchester are two of the most successful clubs in the FA Cup, with Manchester United lifting the title 12 times and City winning on six occasions. Currently under coach Pep Guardiola, Manchester City last won the FA Cup in 2019 while the Red Devils lifted the trophy in 2016. The upcoming match will be the first major final between the two clubs.

Manchester City are contesting their 21st FA Cup Final, the joint most of any side in the history of the competition along with Arsenal. Manchester City will play their 12th final of the competition. Both coaches will be keen to keep similar lineups they had throughout the entirety of the season which defines their current positions in the competitions. However, the backup goalkeeper Stefan Ortega is expected to start over Ederson as has happened in cup competitions for City. United will probably start their strongest lineup with exceptions in some positions.

Manchester City predicted XI: Stefan Ortega, Kyle Walker, Ruben Dias, Manuel Akanji, John Stones, Rodri, Bernardo Silva, Kevin De Bruyne, Ilkay Gundogan, Jack Grealish, Erling Haaland.

Manchester United predicted XI: David De Gea, Diogo Dalot, Raphael Varane, Victor Lindelof, Luke Shaw, Casemiro, Fred, Jadon Sancho, Bruno Fernandes, Alejandro Garnacho, Marcus Rashford.
